Born and raised in Komotini, I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time on family trips to mountains, beaches and rivers. This has been one of the reasons that led me to study at the Department of Education Sciences in Early Childhood (DUTh) and to obtain a master’s degree in Environmental Education (AUTh). In addition to traveling, diving and dancing, I love discovering the world through the eyes of children. Thus, I worked as a clown-animator and as a teacher at nursery schools in Greece as well as at a Forest School in the UK. My ongoing interest is to find effective ways to cultivate a positive relationship between humans and the natural environment. I started working in environmental organizations in Thessaloniki, studying about Environmental Ethics and following the Zero Waste principles, thereby changing my own lifestyle in the first place. Through “kookoonari”, I hope to inspire more people to follow a different way of thinking and to take action!
