“Congratulations on your idea. Adults also need to be getting informed.”
Parent from the 10th Public Kindergarten of Komotini
Our initiative is named “kookoonari” (Greek for pinecone) because human waste should be like a pinecone, for it becomes soil when falling down instead of polluting earth for years or forever. This is the point of view that “kookoonari” wants to “plant”
Our actions are addressed to children, parents, teachers and other people, in order for them to understand the Zero Waste principles and become “kookoonari”
You can also “become kookoonari” by inviting our team to your school, your workplace, the event or the festival you are organizing!
Our team consists of educators specialized in Environmental Education who want to sow the seed so that more people follow the Zero Waste principles!
What makes us very happy is creating various tools and materials and then share it with the world
The project “kookoonari” is supported by “START – Create Cultural Change”, a program of the Robert Bosch Stiftung, conducted in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut Thessaloniki and the German Association of Sociocultural Centers, supported by the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation and the Bodossaki Foundation.
